Muttathu Varkey (28 April 1913 – 28 Might 1989) was an Indian penman, short story writer, and metrist of Malayalam.[1][2] He was first known for a genre manipulate sentiment-filled romantic fiction known pass for painkili (janapriya) novel in Malayalam literature, named after his celebrated novel Paadatha Painkili.[3]

Life

Varkey was resident in Chethipuzha, a small commune near Changanassery in Kottayam sector, Kerala.
