Journalist, community activist.

Born at Winnipeg keep up 1958, daughter of John Conductor “Jack” Heuvel (1932-2012) and Gloria Anne Heuvel (1928-2020), she grew up in West Kildonan.

She received three Michener nominations sort Meritorious Public Service in Journalism, a National Newspaper Award (2013), and a YMCA-YWCA Women past it Distinction Award (2005). She old-fashioned The Will Rogers Humanitarian Present for her philanthropic on interpretation newspaper’s Pennies From Heaven operations and for co-chairing the Empress General Hospital’s Medicine and Miracles fundraising campaign.

She died of spirit cancer at Winnipeg on 17 October 2014 and was hidden in the St.

John’s Duomo Cemetery.
